Privacy Policy for SocialShare

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

Effective Date: September 23, 2026

Welcome to SocialShare (“we,” “our,” or “us”), accessible via https://socialshare.cv/. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose your data when you use our web application to schedule, automate, and publish content to third-party social media platforms, including Google (YouTube), Meta (Facebook & Instagram), and other supported channels.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information strictly necessary to provide and maintain our social media management and publishing services.

  • Account Information: When you register on SocialShare, we collect basic details such as your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Social Media Account Identifiers: When you connect third-party platforms via official OAuth, we receive access tokens, profile IDs, channel/page names, and profile avatars needed to display your accounts inside our dashboard.
  • User-Generated Content: Media files (images, videos, Shorts, Reels), captions, titles, descriptions, hashtags, and scheduling timestamps that you upload to publish to your connected accounts.
  • Technical Logs: Standard server logs, IP addresses, browser types, and error logs collected solely for system health, debugging, and security diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your identity and provide secure access to your SocialShare dashboard.
  • Connect with third-party platform APIs via OAuth authentication tokens.
  • Upload, publish, and schedule your media and text posts to your authorized YouTube channels, Facebook pages, and Instagram accounts.
  • Deliver support, process troubleshooting requests, and communicate important service updates.

3. Third-Party Platform Integrations & API Access

SocialShare operates as an API client integration tool. By connecting your accounts, you acknowledge and agree to the platform-specific policies below:

A. Google & YouTube API Services

  • YouTube Data API: SocialShare connects to the YouTube Data API (including scopes such as [https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload](https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload) and basic profile scopes) exclusively to upload your designated videos and Shorts and verify upload statuses.
  • Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance: SocialShare’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, train artificial intelligence/machine learning models, or sell data to third-party data brokers.
  • By using YouTube integration via SocialShare, users are also bound by the [suspicious link removed] and the Google Privacy Policy.

B. Meta Platform Services (Facebook & Instagram)

  • SocialShare uses the official Meta Graph API (Instagram Graph API and Facebook Pages API) to schedule and publish feeds, reels, and page updates.
  • We adhere strictly to Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We access only the permissions (pages_manage_posts, instagram_content_publish, etc.) you explicitly grant.

4. How We Share and Disclose Data

  • No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information or connected platform data to third-party marketers or advertisers under any circumstances.
  • Third-Party API Transfers: We transfer your content (videos, photos, captions) solely to the social media platforms you actively select for publishing.
  • Service Providers: We may share minimal necessary data with trusted cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., database hosting, SSL encryption providers) who are legally bound to protect your data.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data only if strictly required by applicable law, court order, or governmental regulation.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

  • OAuth Tokens: Access and refresh tokens obtained via OAuth are stored encrypted at rest and transmitted using secure TLS/SSL protocols. We never store your third-party account passwords.
  • Media Retention: Uploaded videos and images are temporarily cached on our servers solely to process and dispatch the scheduled publication to your social accounts. Once successfully posted or confirmed failed, temporary media files are automatically purged from our servers within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Account Deletion: If you delete your SocialShare account, all associated tokens, scheduling queues, and profile metadata are permanently wiped from our active databases.

6. User Rights, Token Revocation & Data Deletion

You maintain complete ownership and control over your data:

  • Revoking Google/YouTube Access: You can disconnect your YouTube channel at any time from your SocialShare dashboard, or revoke SocialShare’s access directly via the Google Security Settings / Third-Party Apps Page.
  • Revoking Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Access: You can remove SocialShare’s authorized permissions directly within your Facebook settings under Settings & Privacy > Settings > Business Integrations.
  • Data Deletion Requests: To request permanent deletion of your SocialShare account and all associated logs, email us directly at support@socialshare.cv with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Your request will be fulfilled within 30 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

SocialShare is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please notify us immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect updates to our platform, changes in API developer policies, or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” timestamp.
